Daniela Husárová Brindová

Mgr. Daniela Husárová Brindová (1987) received her Master degree in Psychology (Faculty of Arts, PJ Safarik University in Košice). During her university studies and after graduation she worked in the psychological centre in work position of psychologist where she worked especially with school-aged children. Currently, she is PhD student at the Institute of Public Health, Medical Faculty of PJ Safarik University in Kosice. Her research focuses on psychosocial development and determinants of health in social context of school-aged children with health disadvantage. She is also focused on research in health psychology and public health with particular focus on family culture in the context of psychosocial determinants in healthy adolescents.

She participates in projects of national research and scientific agencies (APVV, VEGA). In addition, she is a member of national team within Health Behaviour in School-aged children study (HBSC).

Scientific activities and projects:


Health and health-related behaviour within social context in adolescence project is realised as a part of Health of Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study within grant APVV-0032-11 of Slovak Research and Development Agency under contract.                                                                          

2014-present Psychosocial development of health disadvantaged school-aged children project is realised as a part of Health of Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study within grant VEGA 1/0895/14 of Scientific Grant Agency of the Ministry of Education, science, research and sport of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Academy of Science.
