Jaroslav Rosenberger

 

Dr. Jaroslav Rosenberger (1975) serves as a senior researcher and expert on quality of life in patient with chronic disease and research capacity building. His clinical work is focused on patients with nephrological, kidney dialysis and transplant patients. His research focuses on the epidemiology of chronic kidney disease, the area of quality of life of patients on dialysis and after kidney transplantation, treatment of disorders of mineral and bone disorders in chronic kidney disease and malnutrition issues in nephrology.

Since 2006 he has been responsible for the supervision of research projects in the framework of the Kosice Institute for Society and Health, focusing particularly on the quality of life in patient with chronic disease. He participates in several projects from national research agencies, in bilateral research projects between UPJS and UMCG.

J. Rosenberger graduated as a Medical Doctor (1999) and finished his PhD study in Medical Sciences by defending thesis on perceived health status after kidney transplantation (University of Groningen, The Netherlands, 2006). He completed postgradual specialization in Internal Medicine (2002) and in Nephrology (2005) and serves as co-promotor of PhD study in Medical Science (University of Groningen, The Netherlands) and Public Health (PJ Safarik University in Košice, Slovak Republic). He has published more than sixty research papers in SSCI journals, resulting in more than 400 Scopus citations; his h-index is equal to 13.
