Michaela Pálfiová

Mgr. Michaela Pálfiová (1988) received her master degree in public health (St. Elisabeth University of Health and Social Sciences). During her study she was working with children with behavioural problems and disabilities in schools or under institutional care. At the present she is a PhD student at the Department of Health Psychology, Faculty of Medicine, PJ Šafárik in Kosice.  Her PhD thesis is focused on cohort study Care4Youth - Trajectory of children and adolescents with emotional and behavioural problems within the preventive, social and health system of care. Her research focuses on influence of selected risk and protective factors on healthy development of adolescents with emotional and behavioural problems. She is also focused on research in health psychology and public health with particular focus on adolescents with learning disabilities and norm-breaking behaviour. She participates in projects of national research and scientific agencies (APVV, VEGA).

2015-2015

Health and health-related behaviour within social context in adolescence project is
realised as a part of Health of Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study within
grant APVV-0032-11 of Slovak Research and Development Agency under contract.

2016-present       Grant VEGA 1/0981/15 of Scientific Grant Agency of the Ministry of Education, science, research and sport of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Academy of Science.
